I've been employed at this agency just short of five years and within that time this agency has never had their business together. Two years ago the feds arrived early one morning to close the agency due to embezzlement and fraud. Their EMR is constantly being hacked which means medical charts of all their patients are never secured electronically. Currently, to date their in the process of relocating because they can't afford the building they're currently occupying. HIPPA is a totally separate conversation within itself. The services they provide are good for the community as a whole, but unfortunately seeking services from this agency puts you at risk for your health information to be accessible. I would highly encourage anyone needing to be tested to look elsewhere if you value your privacy and your medical records not being compromised.
