You do NOT need to buy the funicular ticket, it is an easy walk to the boat. If you must use their service make sure to not use their website to purchase the tickets, also do NOT use their kiosk as they will overcharge you and you might not get an email with your tickets.
Awful customer service, almost ruined a perfectly good vacation out of their need to nickel dime you.
