One of their officers violently grabbed me by the arm and tried to detain me in the lobby of my apartment because he said he didn't see me use my keycard to enter (which I do every time). When I asked for his name, he lied to me multiple times. When I complained to the company, they didn't respond and then they said they didn't believe me. The same officer also verbally abused my wife, when we complained again they said they would "fire" him but couldn't identify him so they ended up firing multiple black security guards. When we told them they made a mistake they said they were satisfied with their decision to get rid of them. Turns out they never fired the officer that abused us and only relocated him to Georgetown University's campus where I'm sure he will continue to violently harass people.

Update: SecTek responded below saying they dispute the allegations in this review and that this incident happened a year ago and it did not (shows how thorough their investigation was). It only happened a few months ago and when I contacted the admin at SecTek they tried to ignore me by not returning my calls or taking my reports seriously. When I finally spoke to someone they made it fairly clear from their actions and statement that they don't believe or care about victims at SecTek, only about protecting themselves and their employees.

Also - There is evidence, the whole incident was recorded on the building's security cameras, however the building didn't offer the recordings and SecTek didn't bother to ask for it, they just took their word on it (says a lot about their thorough investigation again).

Despite what they say, the building did tell us they "fired" 2 black security guards by mistake due to a lack of identification (which we have them admitting to in a recording and documented in emails) and then said they wouldn't re-hire the one unfairly fired because he let a hooker they had in custody in the building go so they were thinking of letting him go anyway.

As I stated above, they were not "fired" as our building lead on, SecTek simply transferred them to another property rather than stick up for their employees of color or do a more thorough investigation. I would be happy to send all this evidence to SecTek but they never asked for it because they don't care and don't want to help... seems like they only care when these horrible actions are made public.
