Played RSR Fazio on 9/6/19. The course conditions were marginal at best (50% mushy / 50% firm). Multiple times drives that landed in the fairway plugged and either remained in its pitch mark or trickled 2 feet forward. The fairway cut close to the green was the same 50/50. My tee shot on the signature 17th landed in the fringe and plugged so deep that I used my ball repair tool to extract it. The greens were ok but not great like you would expect. The green surfaces just did not look or feel healthy and it appeared like they were struggling with a disease or fungus. The green issues did not cause the ball to jump off line and they are fast (easily 11+ on the stimp). Severe downhill putts were impossible to stop and that was mostly due to the fact that the green surfaces offered very little resistance.

Had this course played firm and the greens were in better condition, I would have rated it a 3.5 (even though that is not an option). My ultimate criteria for judging a course is whether or not I had fun. It started out fun but the beating of uphill holes with plugged drives ultimately made it unfun.
