My love affair with Sports Basement began in San Francisco. The Golden Gate Bridge and fog swept vista lured me to this former grocery store turned sport's equipment mecca. Flash forward a few years, now I have my very own Sports Basement in Berkeley. This beau was an ice rink in its former life. Yes. It can be oddly chilly sans ice, but the folks inside are warm and friendly. The selection is good (most outdoor activities are represented) and if you're a Basementer, the price is right!
