I have definitely stayed at much better hotels. The Marriott and the Hyatt are the best. I have stayed at the Hilton several times in Bloomingdale - and after such horrible experiences using Priceline I call to get a refund if I get stuck with Hilton Indian Lakes in Bloomingdale. I thought I would use a different location This Time - then I get stuck with the Hilton in Oak Brook. I figure it may be different. It's not. The rooms are grimy. When you walk in the hotel-it's nice of course. I'm using Priceline- why would you have a Bellboy bring my bags up when I'm perfectly capable of doing so myself, and asked to do it myself. I don't carry cash and I told this to the Bellboy and he pointed me to the direction of the ATM. So then there's the added cost of tipping him. Fine he was a nice kid I didn't mind that so much. The bathroom is smaller than an outhouse. The temperature regulation in the room is impossible so I'm freezing. The fixtures are dirty. They don't even offer you complimentary water you have to pay $3 if you drink a bottle of water. I'm not cheap however if I'm trying to get a deal and I pay for the hotel I always get complimentary water at least and coffee. The first night I was here there was live music that I knew nothing about so my child could not sleep and it was very annoying to me to hear the bass directly under my room. Not only that my side of the hotel there's a wedding going on the first day - and I don't even believe in marriage. And had to deal with the noise afterwards. And the patrons are always so noisy in the hallways of the Hilton. This never happens at any other hotel for me. So that was ironic.

The parking lot is so far away from the door it's inconvenient for me with a child to stay here. But I was trying it out to see if it was different than the other Hilton but it's not. The Hilton's have all this money - to give me a dirty refrigerator- that I had to ask for after I entered the room. It should have already been here. - for my kids milk and a box of a room the doesn't even have a microwave! What hotel rooms nowadays don't have all these amenities? I stay at hotels a lot and the Hilton is the only Hotel I complain about because I feel they are not rated properly. This is a 2 star room at best. This is not a 4.5 star hotel at all. The Marriott is only rated at three stars and is perfect. The Residence Inn Marriott is highly rated and is definitely perfect. The Hilton needs to step it up -I'm not here to play golf. Which is probably the only thing this place is good for. I will never stay at another Hilton again. Never... these hotels are not up to my standards.

The staff is great. But the room sucks and the proximity from my room to the parking lot to get to my car sucks even more. But what's really bad is the bathroom. I believe these rooms can be redone. At least redo the windows so people can let fresh air in and not be trapped in a box. I will never stay at the Hilton again , and yes I did repeat that. Ridiculous- I am not happy at all with my stay here. I thought it was just me being picky about the Bloomingdale Hilton. But now I know it's Hilton in general that needs to step it up with their accommodations .
