Sadly, it seems the quality and the service this place was known for is in decline ever since the new owner changeover. The first dead giveaway on how slow the food line is when you walk in and the line is full, but most all the tables are empty! Today I went in for the coconut shrimp tacos special. The tortillas were hard, the shrimp tasted old and was like chewing on rubber, and the beans/rice tasted bland. That was the first time I ever asked for a refund which they gave me (so I drove up the street to Durango's and got a grilled chicken salad which was perfect). One of my favorite restaurants has disappointed me more in the last 2 months than in the past 20 years combined! What a shame! Cafe Rio, please come back!
