I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This company falsely denied my workmen s comp claim. I m law enforcement, and work in a prison where I contracted COVID. I am surrounded by hundreds of inmates and staff members on a daily basis, and even provided them with the specific circumstances under which I contracted COVID, as well as additional documentation. When I received my denial letter, I tried numerous times to get ahold of the adjuster. When I finally got ahold of someone, they told me I could get an attorney if I wanted to. They also kept blaming it on the governor s directive. I think it s amusing that a company that probably enables some of their employees to work from home is denying benefits to a law enforcement officer whom is required to work in close contact with hundreds of people in a confined area on a day-to-day basis. I would never recommend this company to anyone, and hope I do not have anymore dealings with them in the future.
