Speaking as a current 8th grader, this school is good academically, but overall had a bad experience with it. The classes are boring to the core, the policies get dumber and dumber each year. Kids are real snotty to each other. The older you get, the less privileges you have. Instead of actually having a study hall period we are given an online class teaching us how to behave online and the Jewish aspect of it. It might sound decent, but it is one of the most useless things I have devoted 15 weeks of my life. Some teachers are good, others are really bad. The dress code is so strict, I once had to change socks because my socks where to bright (my socks were white). School starts at 8 and ends at 4:15. We get a ton of homework. The new middle school principle is extremely annoying. He walks around all day saying stupid jokes, and just brings a bad attitude towards me. Davening and Mincha should be optional it takes about a full hour of our day. The only problem I guess with optional Davening is that no one will go, which shows you how bad it must be. This is a genuine review about Akiba Academy, and I'm not just saying all this because of "I hate school blah blah" I truly had a very unpleasant time here, I think this was a waste of money, and time.
