Do Not Rent from this company. Berkshire Hathaway Premier Properties was the property manager of my rental in the Houston area, I Do Not Recommend Anyone Rent any Property associated with this company. We are a military family, moving every 3-5 years, so we typically do not buy for that reason. Dealing with BH Premier Properties has been the worst landlord/tenant experience we ever had in our 8 moves over the years. We have great references and credit scores, so bear that in mind when reading. Work orders went unanswered for months, I started submitting work orders requesting status on initial work orders. Messages went unanswered on their end, and frequently management was hard to reach. Move-in Day; the house had been empty for at least one month, manager said she would send a cleaner over prior to move-in. Garbage was completely full, still 5 days till next garbage day, the cleaner tracked mud and brought their dog with them, so mud and dog hair were throughout the house, (not that it matters much after having a moving truck unloaded, but still). One month after move-in, we had to submit a request to remove the realtor lock on the front door, something that should have been automatic- yet highlights their lack of planning and professionalism. At the lease signing we were told about a broken entryway light that was on order, to be fixed within the month; 10 months later when we moved out, still broken. Common work orders went unanswered, upon follow-up we would have a brief phone call with the manager, discuss a great plan that never happened. We needed/wanted to stay in the same school district and did not want to be on their terms, so we ended up leaving early and bought in local area.
