I decided to transfer my care after my first appointment. Having used mostly alternative medicine and midwives in the past, I wasn't expecting a hospital feel. If you are used to typical health care then you would probably like it, they were very polite and professional. I'm just used to a more casual and conversational relationship with my midwife, and I didn't feel that was typical here. My appointment was short and I didn't have any conversation with my midwife beyond answering her questions about my medical history. She told me what my care would be without discussing what I wanted. I believe that birth is a natural function and that medical intervention, in most cases, should be minimal. I didn't feel that she shared that belief. She seemed much like an OB, which wasn't what I was looking for.
The office staff great! Working with them was very easy and pleasant.
