I have a 14yr old she really likes being here. She came from Springville Jr. where she was having some issues in the form of social media and was told "sorry if it doesn't happen at school grounds its not our problem, and we can't control what gets done on social media" long story short she left Springville and started at ALA. She has loved it and hasn't wanted to miss school anymore, she has made better teacher relationships instead of hating teachers. Last year the dress code was alot more laid back. This year it is super strict and we are also having a hard time with the jackets. She recently got coded for wearing her hoodie inside out because your not allowed to have logos and that was all she had to wear.. Also car pool is a NIGHTMARE! I had a screaming match with a teacher who was trying to stop my daughter from getting into my car because I went around a car in the carpool lane.... The other mom was stopped her kids were loading and it was just her and I in the carpool lane around 3:45... Like really?! She also yelled at me for "speeding" just because a vehicle is loud doesn't mean your speeding... I will gladly take my X-pipe off and join the car pool line.. that'll be fun... Anyways. Great school the flaws don't out weigh the positives for us! Sorry for the long post/carpool rant!
