With that being said, if you are ever in Kauai, please go to the Kauai Coffee Company. You will learn so much about coffee, much of what I didn't know. Did you know the coffee bean is called a cherie, and it has 3 color phases that it goes through?

Did you know the Kauai Coffee Company has over 4 million trees on its site?!!!
Yes, 4 million!!!!!

Did you know that the trees grow to a certain height, are then cut back, and then they continue to grow?

How many years does it take for a tree to grow?

Do they grow decaffeinated coffee?

What is the difference between a Peaberry and other coffee beans?

You will learn the answers to these questions, and more, when you go to the Kauai Coffee Company.

Yes, you can sample about 17 different flavors of coffee. You can purchase bags of coffee there, and take it on the plane with you. You can even purchase coffee, and have it shipped - they will ship it for you. You can also watch a short video on how they work the farm, etc.

The Gift Shop is great. Try the chocolate covered coffee beans too! Yummy!

It's a fun and informative place to go, especially if you are a coffee aficionado!
