During the memorial weekend, we just got our new Honda Odyssey EXL 2016. It is worthwhile mentioning that the experience at Autonation Honda Chandler was very pleasant.

The price was negotiated through emails with sales person Sean Solomon and the manager Jillian, the quote was the lowest price I could get in the valley with the most transparent breakdown numbers.

We went to the Autonation Honda Chandler to finalize the deal, and Sean Solomon was mostly involved in the purchase process, no pushes, no gimmick, the numbers I got from the email were the exact numbers going forward. In the finance part, no pushes, no trick, no adds-on, it took only 5 mins to sign all the necessary paper work. The entire process was surprisingly impressive, quick and transparent. Even though we were dealing with only two or three of the employee in this dealership, we had a strong impression that the culture in AutoNation Honda Chandler was just outstanding, they really focused on the long term relationship with the customer, in contrast to trying so hard to rip off people which I have seen from many other dealerships.

Still, just remember, this is your money, hard earned $, make sure to do your own homework before going to visit any dealership, and check all the numbers in the paper that you are going to sign. According to my experience, I feel like Autonation Honda Chandler is the place you trust, and hopefully they can keep such a culture.

Btw, Tempe Honda was the other dealership that I was contacting with. After emailing with their General manager Michelle, I was able to get a good price. However, when I visited them, the salesman and manager suddenly denied the numbers in the quote even though I was holding the emails that I printed out. Also, most of their cars have useless adds-on that you have to pay for. Even more, a few weeks after my initial quote, they raised the price by $1500 for the exact same car, and when I tried to negotiate, they basically kept no more response. This is not the worst dealership experience that I have had, but definitely they are losing one customer. Maybe they were able to sell this car and made another $1500, but long term wise, doubtful and doubtful. So just be careful.
