I worked as a camp Councillor at Camp JDA during the summer of 2015. It was the best decision i'd ever made! In Britain we never had summer camps, it was a completely new concept to me; I was not disappointed. Prior to working in Camp JDA I served in the British Army for 5 years, and traveled extensively across South America. All of that pales in comparison to the memories I made in Upstate New York at Camp JDA.

The location is beyond description in its beauty. The facilities are beautiful, rustic and full of historical charm; you can feel the energy of all the past campers in each and every building. Camp JDA provides an incredible variety of activities for the girls to take part in, I was lucky enough to be a part of the boys camp during my time there also. The boys camp is new, developing, growing well, and full of potential.

Camp JDA was the first time I got to see young girls being themselves without the stresses and troubles of the outside world. Its a magical bubble to live in that no one ever wants to leave. I am not able to spend the summer of 2016 at camp JDA, it will always be in the back of my mind each year as summer approaches.

Randy and Sandy are two of the most genuine people you will ever meet. They have a wonderful family, and an excellent 'can do' work ethic. Under their guidance and leadership I am excited to see Camp JDA grow and develop. I am grateful for many things in life, most of all, I am grateful to have been able to live and breath Camp JDA during the summer of 2015.
