I went here for Easter Sunday mass and it was beautiful. My favorite Church out of all the churches I ve been to. My Security Guard friend Walter Robinson still works here. He was 92 years old at the time when I met him. We formed an unbearable friendship. When he saw that I was limping he asked me in a caring tone what was wrong with my leg and I told him that I was having a leg issue. He told me not to give up and keep persevering. He also told me that he would pray for my leg to heal. I asked him if he was in the Military and he said yes and that he was in World War 2. I thanked him for his service. My mom came running over and asked me who I was talking to and I introduced her to Walter and she said hi to him. She asked him how old he was and he told her that he was 92 years old. She told him that he didn t look like he was 92 years old and that he looked much younger which he took as a compliment. My mom asked me if he was in the Military and I said yes and that he was in World War 2. My mom thanked him for his service and asked if she could take a picture of me and my brother with him and he said yes. I kept those pictures ever since. I was also happy when my dad told me that he still works at the Basilica Of The National Shrine Of The Immaculate Conception. Yay!!!!!
