We have been to many Ruth Chris and have had good experiences, tonight we decided to have our small company Christmas dinner here for a party of 4 and we did not have a good experience at all.
The food was good, everything was hot and cooked correctly. Our bad experience was service.
To begin with, we asked for more bread and we didn t get that until our food was served.
We ordered drinks and throughout our meal we were never offered any more drinks, beer and wine. We had water but whoever was in charge of that didn t keep us full.
We ordered the porterhouse for 2 and the food was just dropped off and walked away, most Ruth Chris we go to will serve the first serving to us and make sure everything is cooked properly. We never saw our waiter after that until he came back to ask if we wanted desert. We did order desert, but then we were not given any more cutlery or plates to eat from so we actually ate our desert with the huge spoon they put with it. Again, the desert was dropped off and walked away without asking anything from a different person other than our waiter. The next time we saw him was when he brought the bill, we were never offered any more desert drinks, coffee, tea and our water was empty. By this time we were just ready to go. Our bill was well over $300. My tip did reflect the bad service but we will never visit this particular Ruth Chris again. This is the second time for bad service here. It was not that busy because lots of empty tables were open.
