So we had just moved from Canada and went to this ...

So we had just moved from Canada and went to this school to apply for admissions for our two year old and three year old. When we arrived for interview with the two year old it was a very sad and demeaning experience. Mrs. Haques, the principal took our interview. No greetings, handshakes, how are you like you would normally expect. She just kept saying please go sit back I need to see the child, I need to see the child. Ok that's fine go ahead see the child but really you think a two year old will show you all his skills in a 10 minute interview ???!! What is wrong with the education system in this country?? Anyways that is a separate debate. Coming back to the interview, my child had a snack and toy bag with him that she did not like.. she kept asking us to put it outside.. as it is my child was getting all cranky and fussy waiting in the office for half an hour and now you want me to take away the only thing he has with him that has been keeping him entertained? Ok fine no worries we took it away. But then asking us questions like is he left handed or right handed? When did he start walking? Did he actually do something in the school in Canada or did he just used to play? Like, seriously??? Is it just me or have all the schools in Karachi lost their senses? Get over it woman, your school is not the only proper school. The Canadian montessori my children went to was probably far better than your school and no they did not judge children and criticize them or misbehave with their parents. I would never want to put my child in a school where the principal lacks basic manners.
