May be a good auction house, but the online registration process needs serious improvement.
I recently tried to register for one of Clevedon Auctions’ online sales and ran into an unnecessary amount of frustration. Their debit‑card verification system simply refused to accept my perfectly valid card. That happens sometimes — no big deal — but instead of offering a straightforward manual approval, the ppl seemed to imply the problem was with me and wanted me to provide copy of my passport and other personal documents that had nothing to do with the original problem.
All I really needed was a quick confirmation that they could verify me manually. Instead, I was met with extra forms and requests for information that felt excessive for a simple registration issue.
The auction house itself seems reputable, but the online onboarding process is clunky and needs to be more flexible. A little common sense — like saying “We’ll approve you manually” — would have solved everything in minutes.
