I am little bit surprised that the Tower from time to time pops up in the lists of the most overrated tourits sites in London. On the contrary, I think it's worthwhile to see. It's an huge area to explore and eventhough it's really crowded sometimes, you have to see the crown jewels.
You can buy the tickets for the entrance and the audio guide in advance on the website of the Tower and print them at home, so you avoid the cues at the entrance.
I haven't tried the food in the restaurant inside the tower area, but it was cosy and nice and the prices were surprisingly moderated for beeing in a tourist site and in London.
