The work environment seems friendly and nice. However, the employees there are sadly under paid. They buy out and win contracts through very low bids and under paid employees. For the same position I was considered for, I was offered $55,000 a year as a contractor (uncertain job status) when the government offered me $61,000 (super stable job) and another contracting company can pay me $74,000 (again uncertain job status). Theoretically, contractors are paid more from the uncertainty of being a month off of work at least in between jobs and/or contracts. They believe here that "contractors are way over paid" and therefore should be paid less. Even though I may somewhat agree with over paid, they should never offer paying $6,000 less than a steady government job. I would be surprised with anyone who would want to get a job here.
