The Monopol is a lovely old hotel, renovated nicely and with very helpful staff. On this trip I arrived very late (around midnight) and discovered that the roof of my room had leaked, the reception staff immediately arranged a new room and helped me move my luggage. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a a good selection of hot and cold items as well as eggs to order. One thing that some people might not like is the design of the rooms. For such an old building they're very modern, with lots of concrete and dark wood. I had no complaints though, everything works as it should and I slept very well.
