The future is female, and nowhere is that more apparent than at the Hyatt Place Las Vegas. I stayed there for a week while my brother was on his deathbed, and the women who work there could not have been better at their jobs. They were friendly, informed, efficient and so very compassionate when I explained why I was in town. Kudos to Jasmine and her two female colleagues (sorry, I didn't catch your names, ladies) for going above and beyond. A special shout out to the assistant GM who drove me in the hotel shuttle to the airport when I left. I am forever grateful to all three of you gals for your kindness. Contrast and compare: The night I checked in, I ran into multiple problems in my room--the tv didn't work, the phone in my room wasn't even connected to anything, there was a dirty rag/men's athletic sock blocking the door--and every time I contacted the guy at the front desk, he seemed so annoyed. And he never once said those magic words: I'm sorry. I almost moved to a different hotel the next morning, but then I met Jasmine and her colleagues and changed my mind. Give these women a raise, please.
