I found JFK to be the worst hospital I have ever been in. The emergency room is lacking and the floor is worse . I did not see a doctor for 5 days. The nurses were rude and uncaring. Yes, I do get angry as I was ill and couldn t care from an MD and the nurses in most cases had a mean streak and couldn t care less what your needs were. They changed my room and put me in a private room. They said I was disturbing my roommate. I doubt that. I believe they didn t want anyone else to know how I felt about the lack of medical care. The case manager was pleasant and quite helpful. The rest was a very disturbing experience. This was about 4 months ago. Since then, I was sent to Bethesda East. I do have health problems and all too often I end up in the hospital. The only difference between the hospitals is Bethesda East has an excellent Emergency Room but the floors were equally horrible. If I were you, cross both hospitals off as a place for decent medical care.
