My dad was staying in the adult mental area on the B level and all I wanted was a few simple questions answered from his nurse or anyone in the ward. I asked who could cut his toe nails cause he couldn't bend over and reach them. His nurse by the name of SHIRLEY was absolutely disgusting with her customer service. She told me nurses don't cut toe nails and I had to pay another area of health care work to do that kind of work. I'm 20 years old and don't fully understand what a nurses job description is so I asked what she did as a nurse and she instantly got offended and her whole tone in voice changed, she got a disgusted look on her face and stepped back and said "WHAT!, I can't share that information with you, you're going to have to go upstairs and ask my employers that question." I kept asking and bare in mind I'm a little on edge now with my dad being in the hospital and this is how his nurse is reacting to a simple question I had. She stepped away and instantly said "I'm calling security this is ridiculous", some other lady stepped up and said what's going on, so I explained it and all I got was pure rude attitude. She was pacing back and forth not paying attention, answering the phone while I'm trying to get answers and at the end she told me "go ask your father to answer these questions". I personally thought a nurse would be able to help me answer those, why do I have to go ask my father, who bare in mind is a mental patient these questions. I was absolutely shocked at their behaviour when I asked what she did as a nurse. She is a nurse in the adult MENTAL area and that's how they both acted towards other people...I can only imagine how she acts towards the actually patients. No wonder it takes people forever to get better, and I'm still astonished at her behaviour especially from a nurse suppose to be calming patients down in the mental area of the hospital.
