Table booked for 2 persons for 17.00pm. Not many people in restaurant with quite a few tables for 2 empty. We asked to change tables but told they were fully booked? While we were there many tables for 2 still remained empty up to the time we left. Deciding what to have from the menu was difficult due to the choices we were making only to be told they were not available including a beer options.The bar top was full of empty glasses waiting to be washed, it became a game to see how far along the bar area they would go before someone did something about it. This did not give a good impression of the pub. Staff had their covid protection visers on but a few of them had them sitting on top of their heads and not covering their faces including one whom we assumed to be the manager. We have used Chef & Brewer pubs before and always had a good meal and service but we shall not be rushing back to The Fairmile.
