I own a White 2004 Mercedes SL500 with 82,000 miles. I rarely drive the car and I've owned the vehicle for almost 7 years. This summer my car kept going through batteries and I did not know why. Whenever I attemp to drive the car, I would get various warning lights on the dash board informing me that my vehicle's battery is low. I have a mechanic who specialize in German cars and he too was perplexed with the battery power situation with my car. I called Mercedes-Benz of Fort Washington, and I spoke to someone in service, and right away they were able to help me trouble shoot my vehicle's battery problem. Apparently, the driver power seat module goes bad creating a constant power source even when the vehicle is turned off killing the battery. I disconnected the power seat module, and the problem was fixed! I was very impressed with the woman who I spoke with in the service department. She helped me troubleshoot my problem over the phone and did not try to have me tow my vehicle to the dealership or was relucatant with sharing information with me regarding my car, since I did not purchase my car from Mercedes-Benz of Fort Washington, or ever visited the dealership. Great Customer Service!!!
