It is, perhaps, the oldest or one of the oldest Cement Factories established in the province of Sindh. It is nowadays owned by Mr Sikandar Ali Jatoi, a prominent person from Khairpur Mirs'. Earlier, back in late 70's, when it was owned by the government, my brother-in-law used to work as an engineer and lived in Bungalow No 5 down the Rest House. My childhood memories make the place very very especial. Hope this Factory continues to provide employment to thousands of families and serve the provincial infrastructure
