Front desk was nice but the rooms were disgusting!...

Front desk was nice but the rooms were disgusting! It was very obvious that they had not been cleaned or even inspected.

The first room we got had visible sticky stuff on the desk, some kind of gel/spray/oil was dripping on the bathroom wall, and some kind of white stuff splattered next to the bed wall light switch.

Not to mention the layer of dust on the shelf over the microwave.

We showed them the pictures and asked to move to another room. They moved us.

We left our stuff in the second room and went to get dinner and visit with family.

We came back later and noticed one of the lights over the bed didn't work. No big deal, we were just going to go to sleep. As we were getting ready to get into bed, we noticed a pair of balled up socks on the floor, at the foot of the bed. They were not ours.

At this point it was late and our two year old was asleep so we didn't bother switching rooms.
After we found the socks, we looked around and the saw dust on the desk and the microwave area again. Also, the little tables by the couch were sticky. We took our own sanitizing wipes, cleaned it up, and went to sleep.

Fortunately we were only staying one night but nonetheless, this was very disappointing.

Nice hotel but clearly not clean or properly sanitized.
