I unfortunately took a signing job with Signing Stream back in July. I agreed to a $75 fee for the work. I completed everything perfectly and returned the docs accordingly. A month later I get a call saying that they only approved payment for this job up to $55 and asked if I would accept that. I politely informed them that I still have the confirmation email stating they would pay a fee of $75, but as a professional courtesy, I would compromise with them in the middle at $65 - this one time only; and only if they were able to mail payment that day (since it had already taken much longer than I expected to be paid.)

A couple more weeks have passed and here I am re-reading an email saying payment was sent 5 days ago. My address on the email is correct, so maybe, just maybe, ... "the check is in the mail"?

I'm not holding my breath.
