From day one, I was lied to. I was told that the university would have my back, that I would be taken care of, that I would be covered by my grants and loans and I wouldn't have to worry about the money until I graduated. I cant tell you about how many calls I got saying that because someone in the financial office screwed up, and they wanted me to pay for it. I never felt like the university actually cared about me, only what money they could wring put of me. I felt like every exchange with the administration. Even when a professor tells me that this is how they play. The loan company was by far more understanding and willing to work with me than the school was, and let's be real when a bank is more flexible than a school, you definitely have problem. If i sound frustrated, It's because I am. I had to spend more time struggling to find money to pay them, even with grants and loans for things that "popped up" than I did on my school work.
