I had a year and a half of horrible experiences with BCBS. After 26 months of arguing about a doctor's visit I was told I was covered for, one of the managers finally pulled the recording of the phone call and is getting it taken care of. It has taken me a hundred hours of calls to get what I needed done, and I dropped their coverage after a year and a half. After dropping coverage, they continued to charge me for my monthly premiums. I went months after surgeries without meds, because even though I was covered for the meds their incompetent staff couldn't file the paperwork correctly. It took dozens of phone calls between them and my pain clinic for them to realize the difference between two drugs that started with the letter t. No two people who field phone calls are trained to do the same work. "I don't have an answer for that," is the most common response. Horrible stuff.
