Unethical ploy marketing to keep customers from deleting their online accounts. In order to delete the SNKRS app, one has to call in to customer service and be passed to 2 different departments to delete an account. The option to delete the app is on the SNKRS.com website. However, the link is not live so it does not allow you to confirm that you want to delete your account. I was informed by the Nike help messaging center that in order to delete the account, it is necessary that I call in during business hours.
Deleting an app should not require the consumer to go through extra steps like calling customer support and being put on hold.
It is a seamless process to set up an account and add your credit information. Deleting the app should be just as seamless.
Unethical ploy marketing to keep consumers from getting away from your corporate advertising grip.
