I read through the website and policies and applied thinking it would be a Jesus based approach to helping those in the kingdom have insurance that is for the purpose of helping those who need it. It is not. This does not operate in the true spirit of Jesus, as it limits your active state at time of application. Which is the reason I would want to be helped. Therefore, disqualifies it from the biblical test of storehouse or compassion like Jesus had. I withdrew my application and will not be pursuing it. An organization that requires qualifications and conditions is not acting from a place that Jesus operated from. It is discomforting that they claim to be Christian and yet can't or won't help those in need. Something's wrong there. A Christlike company should not follow the worldly rules of preexisting or active at time of joining. Especially if those who are banding together are truly Christians. I work at my church and meet all the requirements of being a follower of Christ and just do not believe this company's understanding of the principles of following Jesus are being followed. If the $212 monthly premium per person isn't enough for the applicant/new member to be able to go to the hospital immediately upon joining (as I was told) then there is something wrong with the mission of the company.
