I got off to a rough start at this spa. In my confirmation email the spa said to come up to 30 minutes early if you want to use the communal pools and at least 15 minutes early anyways to check in. I show up 30 minutes early before a 10am appointment but the doors were locked. There were no benches outside so I stood outside while I waited about 10 minutes. Several people walked by and no one let me in. I pushed through when someone came out and asked to sit somewhere. The receptionist said she can't bring out the benches to let me site because she is pregnant. I said so am I and I need to sit. She finally let me sit in a hall. If I wanted to use the communal pools before my appointment I would have been out of luck. This should have been disclosed to me at the time of the appointment.
I also thought it was odd that I was not required to fill out any paperwork or sign a release before my services.
If I would have received better service when I arrived I would have given 5 stars. The prenatal massage was excellent. I was even given a warm towel to clean off the massage oil. I also got a basic facial which was also fantastic. I don't like facials but this one was more functional than others I have had in the past (not too much fluff and touching) and I left feeling clean, not greasy.
The initial service was poor but the services were great.
