I went to Peak for broken shoulders about six months apart. My first PT experience. I loved it at the beginning. Loved it. Great staff. Great facility.

In July I had total knee replacement, and started PT at a different facility which is closer to my house and was highly recommended by a friend. Wow. What a difference. I was assigned two therapists who work with me. My information is entered on the computer immediately so they both know what's next.

While I think the actual pt itself isn't that different, there are several things that I realized were bothering me at Peak:

--Very loud staff. Yelling across the room.
--I didn't like how I was shuffled from here to there.
--Currently, I'm never left alone to do the exercises. The therapist stays with me and corrects my movements if I get off track.
--Timers going off all the time as we did our exercises. Beep. Beep. Beep.
--Music was often too loud. Not for the age of people who were there every time I was.
--Because info is entered into the computer immediately, each time I go my therapist has reviewed the notes, asks me specific questions about our last session, and is ready to begin.

So. That's my story. I didn't know I wasn't thrilled at Peak until I went somewhere else.
