Wonderful old cemetery in the heart of Bristol, maintained by a volunteer team. The place has a happy atmosphere, if one can say that of a cemetery! It is a really a pleasure to walk in it.
If you visit, be sure to check out the grave and monument to Ram Mohan Roy, one of the main forces behind the Bengali Rennaisance, who ended up dying in Bristol. Fascinating background story.
Knowledgeable guides are often on hand, and there is a visitor centre / cafe.
