A good commuter school with a high quality education. If you re coming here expecting the typical college experience, then my advice is to look elsewhere. GMU is not winning any awards in the school pride department, although the b-ball team is actually pretty decent. While all that could change in the future, for now this school is relatively boring. Now, that s not necessarily a bad thing. The education is top-notch with great economics, engineering, IT, and nursing programs. You ll also get the most bang for your buck here, and a degree from Mason will surely be very valuable when you graduate. All in all, it s a school that achieves a single goal (despite all the marketing that may say otherwise): education, and a good one at that.
