I had a very frustrating experience today purchasing tickets to a Seattle Sounders game through Ticketmaster. This morning, I purchased two tickets that were being resold. I noticed that Ticketmaster verifies all ticket resales, so this seemed safe. I was not able to download my tickets after waiting an hour, so I called customer service. After waiting on hold, I reached a representative, who couldn't fix the problem himself, so escalated it to specialists. I was told I would get a call within 20 minutes, but never got a call. I called back an hour later and waited on hold. After explaining the situation to a new representative, she indicated that she couldn't help me, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold again for 20 minutes. The supervisor assured me that she would take care of the situation and call me back within half an hour before game time. She confirmed my cell phone number. I received no call until after the game had already started. I finally got my tickets by waiting in a long customer service line at the stadium and explaining the situation to a representative in person. By this time, I had missed 15 minutes of the game, including an important goal. I feel cheated out of the money I paid for tickets, not only because I missed part of the paid event, but also because I wasted hours on the phone and on hold with Ticketmaster, to no avail.
