A rep on behalf of MDG&E, owned by Crius Energy Corp., stole my personal information to create a fraudulent account with this company, switching my service from my current energy provider without my knowledge or permission. This resulted in $340 in additional costs above my usual bill over a two-month span. I have been attempting to resolve this with the Crius compliance team for two months but they have refused to take full responsibility for this crime and are only offering a partial reimbursement of $150. This is an inadequate resolution as it only addresses the premium charges associated with their service pricing increases and not additional fees/costs I have incurred through my original provider because of their fraud. I am not looking to profit at all (despite the fact that this has stolen hours and hour of my time in addition to my personal information) - I am simply seeing to be 'made whole' so that I do not incur any costs as a result of their illegal actions. I am appalled that Crius/MDG&E has failed to take full financial responsibility for their actions and would urge folks to be wary of doing business with a company that lacks integrity.
