I would've expected a The Cottage School to receive just as much TLC as the excellent Mill Springs Academy, but TCS comes up far short. Instead of an adventure filled with stimulating curriculum, we've got a bare-bones and lifeless attempt at what could best be described as an incredibly half-hearted school for kids with learning disabilities. There's nothing wrong with deviating from the typical schooling method (exploration, building, tons of unlockable curriculum, etc) as long as you do something good with it. Instead, we've got a clunky classroom environment that makes moving and learning much harder than it should be and extremely basic classwork. Each class boils down to a state enforced benchmark chase with incredibly bland content and ridiculously simple worksheets. The Cottage School is an uninteresting and soulless school in an otherwise charming town. This poor attempt at an establishment of alternative learning is clumsy to interact with, overly simplistic to work in, and lacks the usual charming teacher-student interactions. Even morbid curiosity isn't enough of a reason to bother forking over 30k a year for this school.
