Healthy Paws will force your older pet off the system when you need it. The rate increases are astronomical when your pet reaches their senior years. My last increase was 50% to a monthly total of 108.00. My mixed breed dog is only 9. I am cutting my losses now with HP as I will not be able to afford next years increase. I read one reviewers comment about a new premium adjustment of over $400 a month. This is clearly designed to get your old pet off the system to avoid paying out when claims are much more likely. Please don't fall for the all the warm and fuzzy advertising like I did. Just save that money into a separate account and save yourself the headache. I saddens me to think I got this insurance when my dog was a year old and thinking he'd be covered in his old age when he is much more likely to have medical concerns.
