This place is amazing. Magical. I had the opportunity to dine here on a visit to Marathon. I would have loved to have stayed in one of the cabanas, but it was all booked up, not to mention quite pricey. For the well healed, this is a can t miss.
The hostess and waitstaff were phenomenal. The food was fresh, and well above average. The setting was outrageous! Pictures can possibly do it justice.
Our visit started with a short boat ride from the mainland to the island. We were greeted by the hostess who told us that we can sit for dinner or have a drink at the bar first. We walked around for a short bit and then sat down at dinner. A little while later, the sun began to set and we decided we wanted to take pictures by the beach. We found a fire pit and sat down at some very comfortable sofas there. We have not yet finished dinner, as we had only just ordered dessert, but didn t want to miss the sunset. The waitress found us and brought our dessert down to us. As we were so comfortable and having such a great time by the fire pit, The waitress told us to stay, and brought our personal items down to us.
After paying the check, we wandered up to the piano bar. Set in an outdoor bar with the most amazing views, we sat by the piano as the pianist offered to play whatever we would like to hear. Only later did we return by ferry back to the mainland.
Although expensive, this is an experience we will not soon forget. I will return when the opportunity arises.
