My wife and I been planning to adopt for a long time and we set days off to go to these classes to educate ourselves and to get licensed to adopt. We feel no child deserves to go through that. We felt like we was not good enough to adopt. We felt uncomfortable in the classes but we wasnt there for the drama so we ignored it. Then the women teaching the class joined in. The women would say comments about us when we was leaving the table. We couldn't ask about anything. She told us that one of the Saturday, we wasnt going to have a class so the date she gave October 27 wasnt going to be class and that November 3 was class. Yes we had the schedule but we took her word. Basically we missed a class we couldn't make up and the other class. The women who was running the class made us feel we wasnt wanted. She said that we missed a class so we should take the two last classes somewhere else. We was feeling profiled and singled out from the whole class.
To do everything to make sure we could be there. Without getting paid. Just to be treated like that and not finished the classe
s. It discourage us. We didn't deserve that. We are a mix family working full time jobs, we have a home for 7 years, a car for almost 2years
