The reality is it's pretty costly with entrance fee, concession/food and cost of things like archery, maze, etc, if you like to do the activities, all of which are extra cost on top of entrance fee. BUT, the performances and acts are absolutely awesome, from comedey skits to glass blowing, jousting, wandering minstrels and the fact that everyone who works there is in costume and character all the time, you can't beat the experience and that's what the entrance fee is really for, and I think well worth it. Not to mention, this place is literally built for this festival only, so the structures are authentic and weathered and not just pop-up. I go every year with my young kids and we all love it.
