Definitely a really cool old steakhouse. Don t let a review be the deciding factor whether you will try a place or not. BUT... we waited from 5:30 to 7:00 to be seated. This place is simply not that great for that wait. We tried the filet and ribeye. The filet was excellent, but overpriced 10oz was $26. The ribeye was a good cut overall, but was lacking even the simplest of seasoning/taste and was regrettable...especially at the $26 price tag for 12oz.
Seeing the TV commercials I thought we had to give it a shot. It s old and really cool with the upstairs waiting area/bar, however, I think you'll leave wishing you had went to your favorite steakhouse.
I highly recommend Texas Roadhouse over this place. #1 reason Call ahead seating. When you show up, you'll be seated within 10 minutes (usually less I find) ... bypassing all the other people who have been waiting one hour or more. Every single location I have ever been has always had an hour wait during prime time eating hours. #2, the steaks are very reasonably priced and I believe compete with dang near any steakhouse out there. Their 16oz ribeye for $20.99 and 8oz filet at $19.99 is superior to Cattleman s in all regards. Additionally, the overall menu options make it much more attractive. Cattleman s wouldn t even swap the soup/salad for an extra side no restaurant operates this way these days! Sorry the review took a tangent off about Texas Roadhouse. But it's a favorite of so many people and I can guarantee when you try it, it will become the bar for measuring your steakhouse experience.
