I, too, went to the Ophthalmology office. Since most, if not all, of the parking spaces were taken, I quickly pulled into the next open one. I was running late, didn't even see the sign. When I came out, there was a boot on the car's wheel (this vehicle had a handicap plate). Then I saw the sign. I went up to the office to inquire why, and was told that it was the owners parking spot. I said why doesn't he park where everybody in his company parts? The gentleman did not give me a reasonable answer. I used to own a business, and I parked as far away as from the door as I could. It was my belief that the close spot should be for customers and clients. Obviously this is not their attitude.

He told me that it would be $25 to get the boot removed. I gave him my credit card, he said they only accepted cash. Since I did not have enough cash, I had to walk across Health drive with dilated eyes. Not a fun thing to do when you're squinting. Also, since the ATM wasn't my bank, it actually cost me $2.50 more. When I asked for receipt, all I got was attitude. I asked him to write out a receipt on letterhead, and his reply was, "I don't have time for that!". He poorly wrote a receipt on a sticky note. Not very professional! I can't help but think that if I hadn't asked for a receipt, the money would have landed in somebody's pocket, not their petty cash.

I have since called both Metro Health and Gary Granger's assistant. I've not received any return phone calls. To be fair, it's only been about two hours.

My question is why would you take any money from a retiree getting Social Security? Doesn't your multimillion-dollar company make enough on its own?

Then I saw where you charged some elderly man, and I'm not elderly, $100. Are you absolutely nuts? I did see where you return the money. I do expect to get my $27.50 returned.

UPDATE: 10/9/19 I've made three phone calls to Gary Granger's Chief of Staff / secretary. As of this day, I have not received any reply. I did receive a phone call from Metro Ophthalmology apologizing for this, and they stated they will be seeing I get my money back.

I would suggest anybody experiencing the same problem contact the office manager Metro Ophthalmology. You may want to post a review also. This is totally unacceptable behavior on the part of a "philanthropist" and board member at Ferris State University #ferrisstate.

UPDATE: 11/3/18 NO RESPONSE FROM GRANGER GROUP. I did receive a $30 gift card from Metro Ophthalmology and apology for my inconvenience. Thank you very much, and good luck with your uncaring landlord. I guess when you deal with multimillion projects, the "little people" don't matter, do they. Future partners should be aware....
