Free Wi-Fi only available on ground floor. Swimming and gym facilities are great, as are the restaurants. Arcade was always closed.

As for check in and bar experience, very poor. This hotel seems to insist on understaffing thier key areas. It took us just under an hour to check in because the desk was tiny and there weren't enough receptionists.

When we went to the bar one evening there was one person serving drinks and one serving food. The lady serving the food was visibly stressed as she had so many customers to deal with, there were tables that needed cleaning and orders were being mixed up.

The rooms are excellent for older or less technologically-savvy people since the plugs were sparse, there was no air con and the heater was a shabby convector heater you could get from B&Q. The decor looked like it was from the 1970s, and the ballroom gave you that Haven holiday feeling (minus the karaoke).

The harbour view and seafront is currently marred by construction. No telling how long it will go on for. Regardless, we still had a lovely view of Dover and Folkestone.
