When traveling through Doha, you have a plethora of hotel options, but the Marriott Marquis City Center really strikes the perfect balance of everything I look for in a hotel. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-appointed, as is the hotel as a whole. As its name implies, it is well located in the city center - a short 15-20 minute taxi from the airport and right next to a metro station. I didn't get much time to enjoy it, but there was a nice pool to cool down in the warm Doha weather. The club lounge was well stocked, and had excellent views of the Doha skyline. Overall, everything was excellent during my stay last month.

But what really set this hotel apart was the level of service and teamwork displayed by the staff here. I stay about 50 nights a year at hotels - many of them one-night stays at Marriotts like this stay was - and I have never felt more welcomed or taken care of than I have at this hotel. Everyone I interacted with, from the front desk to the housekeepers, were exceedingly friendly and helpful, but Mr. Nasr and Ms. Gonzales went way above and beyond anything I have experienced before. I won't get into specifics, but thank you to you both! They exemplify Marriott hospitality at finest. I hope to encounter both of them at another Marriott in the future, and for any future stays in Doha, I will be sure to stay the Marriott Marquis City Center.
