I had a mortgage through Loan Care that was bought...

I had a mortgage through Loan Care that was bought by a different company. I mostakingly made a payment to Loan Care through my bill pay instead of the new mortgage company. I called loan care and the first time I spoke with them they said they didn't have any record of receiving the payment, then they said to email them proof of payment from my bank which I did. I received an email back saying it was in review and they would be in touch within 5 business days. Never heard from them. I called them again after the 5 days was up, they said it was still in review, I called again and was told I would receive a refund by the end of that week which never came. I called again and spoke with a supervisor named Jessica, who said she would call me within 48 hours with an answer. Never heard from her, I called her two days after the 48 hours was up. She said she had proof that the payment was rejected and returned to my account. I received what looked like someone pulled together with account numbers that don't match mine and an amount that didn't match my refund amount. I called my bank and the third party bill pay which is MasterCard, both stating that the refund was never issued. It's been 5 weeks and I still don't have my money back. I will be issuing a complaint to the Colorado State Attorney General and I messaged the president of the company on linked in. By the sounds of all these reviews I am anticipating that I will be chasing this company down for a long time and may never get my money back! They definitely are crooks and I will never deal with them again!
